Vegetation - plot based

Objectives:

  1. To measure and understand how increasing temperatures affects tundra vegetation and the consequences of the changes.

Experimental studies conducted by the vegetation group include the use of snow fences, greenhouses and open top chambers (OTCs) to mimic changes in climate. Effects of both environmental change and environmental gradients are being investigated. In addition, monitoring of current vegetation change is conducted using remote sensing.
